A Little Bit About Me

My name is Maggi Ingels; I am 39 years old, married to a wonderful man and the mother of a 19 year old daughter. I have never really known what I have wanted to do with my life. Now I have finally realized what I would love to do with my life. I want to be a food and travel writer. I love food and I love to travel so why not do something that combines the two?

I plan to start locally and let people know about my area here in Western North Carolina. If you haven’t experienced WNC you are really missing out on great travel experiences and great food! Hopefully I can persuade you to take a trip to Asheville, North Carolina or Chimney Rock, North Carolina and discover the great things Western North Carolina has to offer.

In my past I have traveled to New York City where I visited a fashion museum and saw an actual outfit that Joan Crawford wore on a movie set. In Chicago I saw the painting A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat. In London England in 2001 I rode the London Eye and walked the ancient cobbled lanes at the Tower of London, and in Carmarthen Wales I visited the cave where Merlin is said to be buried and if you listen close enough you might can hear him clanking his chains, oh and I ate tons of pasties and clotted cream and had many great English Breakfasts!

I can’t wait to travel to new places around the world and learn new things, make great memories with my husband, and eat food that I have never even dreamed of! I hope you will come with me on my journeys, and that I can inspire you to make new journeys of your own, eat that strange dish at that new restaurant, and just experience life in some way that you never thought you would!
